Christianity is the only religion where man does not rely on self-effort by faithfully performing good deeds to make himself acceptable. The Bible says man cannot make himself good enough; only God can do that for him.
The video above shows a man in a hole. Religious efforts cannot rescue him. We need to humble ourselves and acknowledge defeat through self-effort (which can lead to pride). Our humility then becomes an opening for God to do his part. Only a God who can reach down and rescue us in our problem solves it. Christians believe that God, in the person of Jesus Christ, came down into the hole and rescued us. The question is: do you want to be rescued from the hole?
